Strategic Alliance Between Advanced Problem Solving (APS) and First Responder Center for Excellence (FRCE) Will Provide Training for Firefighters and Other First Responders

Indian Wells, CA, October 9, 2024—The strategic partnership between Advanced Problem Solving (APS) and the First Responder Center for Excellence (FRCE) announced last week aims to transform training for firefighters and emergency responders. This collaboration will create dynamic online learning solutions, broadening access to essential resources for those on the front lines.

“We are committed to providing flexible, high-quality training that meets the evolving needs of emergency personnel,” said David Andrews, CEO of APS. Speaking at the annual conference of the Los Angeles Area Fire Chiefs Association, Andrews emphasized the excellent fit between the two organizations. “Partnering with FRCE aligns perfectly with our mission to empower the first responder community as they provide invaluable service in a demanding and ever-changing landscape.”

In announcing the partnership last week, FRCE Managing Director Frank Leeb likewise underlined the strategic thought behind this partnership. “APS was the ideal partner for FRCE due to their flexibility, commitment, and winning mindset, which will help us achieve our goals,” Leeb said.

Leeb added that this announcement comes as FRCE begins a groundbreaking initiative with the University of Iowa and the University of Pittsburgh to create online mental health learning modules, further supporting the first responder community.

APS is proud to contribute to this vital effort, ensuring that first responders receive the support they need to excel in their roles. Pooling their decades of expertise, APS and FRCE are poised to provide the training content, deliverability, and learning experience that first responders deserve.
